Journey's Concert
The day after my birthday we went to the Clark County Amphitheater to watch the Journey's Concert. Together with Journey, Heart and Cheap Trick was there too. It was very nice and we're enjoying it. I like the song of Cheap trick entitled Flame and Alone of Heart. I loved all the music's the played.

Birthday Celebration!!!
Those are the foods I prepared when I celebrated my birthday last September 20. I invited my friends and my husband's friend to come over and have a tiny gathering at home. I started to cook early morning, I was not done until 4 o'clock in the afternoon. I was lucky enough one of my friends came over and helped me a little bit. I cooked chopsuey, chicken bihon, chicken, pork and beef barbecue, pork adobo, beef steak, spring roll, grilled fish, and shrimp.
My friend made fruit salad for my birthday. Well, it was fun but I was tired after that. My party ended at 10 o'clock in the evening then we went to Shenanigan's Red Lion Hotel to continue the party. Couple of my friends came there and we waited until the bar is going to close then we went to Shari's to eat breakfast. We got home around 3:30 in the morning. It was a lot of fun even though my family are not here to celebrate.
Hurricane Ike
I heard the news about the Hurricane Ike yesterday but I didn't see how bad it was until I watched the news last night. It's devastating and it so sad. I am worried about my cousin in Texas. I forgot that they're not in Houston. I haven't talk to her for few months so last night I can't wait to call her but I know that we have time differences so I have no choice but to wait until morning. When I woke this morning I called her right to check how's the situation where they live. She said they're fine because they're in Dallas. She said it's cloudy over there and they might get some rains today or the next day but other than that they're fine. I felt better after talking to her. Thanks God, they're fine. Let's pray for the safety of all the people in Galveston, Texas.

GALVESTON, Texas - Massive Hurricane Ike ravaged southeast Texas early Saturday, battering the coast with driving rain and ferocious wind gusts as residents who decided too late they should have heeded orders to evacuate made futile calls for rescue.
It remained unclear how many people may have perished as the worst of Ike was passing over the Houston-Galveston area. But even before daylight arrived, damage was considered extensive. Thousands of homes and government buildings flooded, roads were washed out, 2.9 million people lost power and several fires burned unabated as crews could not reach them.
The biggest fear was that tens of thousands of people had defied orders to flee and would need to be rescued from submerged homes and neighborhoods.
As dawn broke, emergency officials were fielding pleas for help from residents along the coast who remained behind and were trapped in their homes. Gov. Rick Perry mobilized 7,500 National Guard troops and his homeland security chief, Steve McGraw, said rescues would start as soon as crews could safely go out. Read more.......

A great surprise for Thata's Family
My friend Thata and her husband are in Surigao right now. They're there to visit her family for two weeks and at the same time to celebrate the San Nicolas Festival, which is a big celebration of the whole City of Surigao. I went to met her the day before they're leaving and she had some stuffs to take for my family. I was very excited for her because it was her first time to go back home for almost 3 years here in the U.S. The funny and exciting thing about is that she didn't even tell her family that she was coming to visit them like what I did last year when I visited my family. I didn't tell my family that I' going home. But anyway, it was a very good surprise for her family. I'm happy for her and for her family. I hope Thata and Russ will enjoy their vacation and I can't wait to see her coming back, so we can talk to her about her vacation and about her family back home. I want to ask her about my family too. I just talked to her and she said my family got the little stuff I gave for them and she said they're happy. My Mom is suppose to be at their house today to meet Thata and Russ. I might call in a little bit so I can talk to them. More about this later...;-)
